Call for District Leader Nominations – 2023-2024

 

District 90 is now calling for nominations for the 2023/2024 District leadership roles.

Nominations are being sought for the positions of: 

  • District Director

  • Program Quality Director

  • Club Growth Director

  • Cumberland Division Director    

  • Eastern Division Director

  • Hawkesbury Division Director

  • Macquarie Division Director

  • Northern Division Director

  • Oxley Division Director

  • Western Division Director

Please review the District Leadership Handbook and the District Leader Competencies (link below) to discover more about the role you are interested in. It is recommended that you speak to the current incumbent of the position.

Nominations open as of Monday 5th December 2022 and close Sunday 19th February 2023.

You can self-nominate. If you are aware that someone else is nominating for the role, please don’t let this stop you from nominating. Toastmasters Rules state that the District Leadership Committee should have a minimum of 2 candidates for Club Growth Director and each Division Director position, with a minimum of 1 candidate for both the District Director and Program Quality Director positions.

As part of the newly updated rules from Toastmasters International, all Candidates (including floor candidates) must have been interviewed by the District Leadership Committee within this Toastmasters calendar year.

Members of the District Leadership Committee are being finalised and will be advised shortly.

Here is the Nomination schedule:

  • Monday 5th December 2022 – Nominations open

  • Sunday 19th February 2023 – Nominations close

  • Thursday 23rd February 2023 – Candidate Interviews commence

  • Thursday 23rd March 2023 – Candidate Interviews finish

  • Friday 31st March 2023 – Candidate advised if they were successful or not.

  • Friday 19th May 2023– All Candidates are requested to be at the Candidate Showcase to be held as a hybrid option as part of the District 90 Conference at Inverell. Candidates should also attend the District Council meeting. Candidates for contested positions will be asked to give a 2 minute speech selling themselves to the District Council members prior to the vote.
